It's a question many people ask themselves. Most people are becoming more aware of the risks associated with sedentary work, and also have a desire to be more physically active, but how much movement is needed, and how does it become part of everyday life?
Even if you spend many hours in the office in front of the computer, you can still sneak some movement into your working day. It takes determination and persistence, but it can be done.

Get all the help you can - the more the better
It is not always easy to change your habits. That’s why it’s a good idea to accept all the help you can get if you want to reach your goal. But even though our products are designed to help you, it is still essential that you actively work on changing your habits, if you want to integrate more movement into your working day.
How do you change your habits?
Habits are hard to change, even those you know will do you good. We therefore recommend that you try to associate new good habits with already existing habits.
Here are some examples of things you could do:
- Do you always start your working day by getting a glass of water or a cup of coffee? Well, then decide to always get it from the water container or coffee machine the furthest away from you. And choose a small glass or cup, so that you more quickly will be tempted to stand up again.
- If you work in a multi-storey building, you may want to start taking the stairs all the way up or at least some of the way.
- If you drive to work, you could park a bit further away from the entrance than you usually do – that will also give you a little more movement.
